Gruevski: EC's Report is balanced

I don't have time to read the report. I don't think it is good, but I cannot blame the Macedonian government, as the opposition does. I prefer to blame the EU.

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski described the European Commission's Report as a balanced review of the developments that took place in Macedonia over the last 12 years, from the EUs standing point.

He added that that a progress has been recognized in certain areas, some weaknesses have been pointed out and some recommendations have been issued.

Gruevski specified that the remarks are referring mainly to the areas in which the Government depends on the opposition and other factors in carrying out of the activities.

Asked by a journalist to spell out his prediction on the possible date of start of the accession talks, Gruevski answered: "I can only predict that we will work a lot, and the beginning of the negotiations is not entirely up to us."
