I feel a bit like Christopher Hitchens criticizing Mother Teresa, but it is Samantha Power, Obama's adviser and "human rights activist" (A Problmen From Hell) who is the monster, not Hillary Clinton.

I believe that Samantha Power was instrumental in convincing Barack Obama to adopt the Greek position on the "what's in a name dispute" between Macedonians and Greeks ... which is tantamount to supporting racism and cultural genocide.

If you want to know why the Turkish Kurdish group, the PKK, has been able to sustain an insurgency for over 20 years, this article will not be helpful. It does not even mention that Turkish Kurds have been the object of a sustained assault on their language an culture for over 100 years. Nice. Where is Samantha Power when you need her.

I just read your article (below) about the the Armenian genocide resolution of the US Congress. To those who say that the killing of the Armenians by the "Young Turks" in 1915 does not rise to the level of a genocide, then they have stripped the word "genocide" of all its' meaning.

I know I am getting repetitive, but what about the plight of ethnic Macedonians in Greece. The US Congress, Barack Obama, and yourself have taken an anti-Macedonian stance that is akin to supporting cultural genocide. I am not impressed.

Greece's values regarding minority rights are EU values; are Nato values; are US values; are "Greek Issues Caucus" values; are Senator Barack Obama values; and finally are your values. I am not impressed.

To think that the US Congress, will provide some moral authority on "genocide issues" is nonsense since it responds only to political lobbying (as you correctly note), not sober solomonic like reflection. I am not impressed.

In this case, they have may determine that Armenians should get the elevator while the Turks get the shaft. In the past with regard to Kurdish rights in Turkey, the Turks get the elevator while the Kurds get the shaft. Go figure.

Samantha, honesty is the best policy, let have a little from Obama and from you!

This is an update to my last post regarding Samantha Power who is on the board of the International Crisis Group (ICG), which is a front for an unmentionable secret organization and is lead by a kangaroo f!#ker. No report has ever appeared from the ICG regarding the the lack of rights for Macedonians in Greece. So you know that our friend Sam has the moral flexibility to work in an Obama White House where a select group of people get to pick and choose who gets the elevator and who gets the shaft.

A few years ago, I had read Samantha's book "A Problem from Hell: America in the age of Genocide" and was initially impressed. However, as I read it, I was filled with unease because, in Bosnia, she documents the bad things that the Serbs did, but does not even mention the vicious bombing of Muslim Mostar by the Croats.

She condemns "ethnic cleansing" by the Serbs and praises US ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, but does not mention his role in the "wiping off the map" of the Krajina Serbs.

In Iraq she documents the gassing of the Iraqi Kurds by Saddam, but does not even mention the dirty war by the Turkish government on its own Kurdish minority.

Finally, I realized that she has "cut here teeth" in studying ethnic conflict by working at the ICG in the late 1990's where her moral promiscuity seemed to have been imprinted on her fragile psyche.

Samantha Power is a Harvard-based human rights scholar and Pulitzer Prize winning writer, (A Problem From Hell) and also a foreign policy adviser to Senator Barack Obama.

I saw her on the Charlie Rose Show today talking about why she supports Obama. She thought that Hillary Clinton would make a great president, but Clinton's negatives were so high, it may be impossible for her to be elected president.



Now I have never met Samantha Power, nor Senator Barack Obama, but let me see how the Obama's position on the Macedonian Greek dispute could have been made. Power indicated that Obama was a quick study and my assumption is that he is naturally predisposed to support the Macedonians since he would find it hard to support discrimination against ethnic Macedonians in Greece which is tantamount to cultural genocide.    (Also - See HRW)

However, Power, in her desire to have a Democrat elected, probably advised Obama that alienating the Greek community would be bad for his electoral chances. I believe it was Power who helped formulate Obama's "Macedonia is Greece" policy. She has detailed knowledge of the Balkans since the war in Bosnia was central to her book "A Problem from Hell.

If Samantha Power is against Obama's policy she would have resigned and outed him as a politics as usual panderer ... which she has not done.
